Israel’s hottest dancehall/reggae duo, Axum, is coming to Atlanta for a two month artist residency with Hillels of Georgia. Their first concert – TONIGHT, Saturday, March 6 at 8 PM (doors) / 9 PM (show) – features Dubconscious, a dub reggae powerhouse out of Athens, Georgia.
Some good friends of mine are developing the first Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (coming this summer) and are sponsoring this crazy-fun night! It could be the coolest live music event you attend all year – and you’re sure to leave knowing that you’ve never been to anything like it before! To check out some of Axum’s music, please click here.
What are local Atlantans saying about the show?
- “These guys are the real deal, very cool and honest. Going to be a great show!” ~Nick E.
- “…everyone should go to this! It’s gonna be awesome!” ~Evan R.
- “Hell yes!” ~JB L.
Presented by the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, the Black Jewish Coaltion and the Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast, “this evening of international synergy will be a unique event for our city that will expand and invigorate your views of Israel, reggae, and the Black / Jewish experience.” Cost: $10.
