If you enjoyed the book (or movie, starring Diane Lane) Under the Tuscan Sun, then you know who tonight’s lecturer is. Best-selling author Frances Mayes, who calls Georgia her childhood home, is returning tonight and appearing at the Atlanta Botanical Garden as part of the Alston Lecture Series.
Mayes is presenting her new book, Every Day in Tuscany, a collection of “entertaining and inspiring reflections on Italian food, wine and gardens.” Every Day in Tuscany is the third book in her Tuscan trilogy, which includes Under the Tuscan Sun and Bella Tuscany – two books known for “taking chances, living in Italy, loving and renovating an old Italian villa and the pleasures of food, wine, gardens and the voluptuousness of Italian life.”
The lecture is FREE and requires no reservations. If you’ve never attended a lecture at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, you should definitely plan to attend – it’s a beautiful place to sit back, relax, and escape into the world the author is presenting. The event begins at 7 PM – arrive early to ensure time to park and find a seat!
WHERE: Atlanta Botanical Garden – 1345 Piedmont Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30309
