Everything’s better with bacon. Trust me. Especially a fundraiser.
Dad’s Garage, without a doubt one of Atlanta’s coolest and funkiest theatres, is holding its annual fundraiser, Baconfest, tomorrow – Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 1 PM to 5 PM. This is no stuffy ball gown and tuxedo style fundraiser – this is a greasy, bacon-filled extravaganza that will have you drooling for more when it’s over.
With bands and games, prizes and a silent auction, and…oh yeah…lots and lots of bacon, it’s a fantastically fun day that’s all for a good cause – suporting local theatre. There’s even an improv show from 5 PM to 6 PM (with purcahse of $45 ticket), which is one of the many zany, wacky things that Dad’s Garage is known best for.
This event is expected to sell out – so get your tickets now! Three different ticket levels for three different degrees of bacon (and theatre) lovers are available: $15, $35 and $45. I say go for the whole hog and get the $45 ticket – it’ll give you a whole day of fun, admission into the improv show and unlimited bacon and beer. And the big news on Twitter on Wednesday is even more reason to splurge on that $45 admission: “Buy the $45 BIG PIG Ticket & get Jalapeno-Infused BACON made specially for us by Mike LaSage from @Pcheen.” Sounds delicious!
