Here’s a creative way to get outside this weekend – join Sweet Escape Yoga for an hour of FREE yoga class outside in beautiful Chattahoochee River Park. Sweet Escape Yoga has a unique approach to fitness – organizing yoga classes and events in natural (i.e., outside) and creative (i.e., cool, hip, or artsy) spaces in Metro Atlanta. Their first classes of 2010 are this weekend – Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, 1 PM – 2 PM.
Whether you’re a yoga veteran or just thinking about trying it out (maybe it was your New Year’s Resolution…? Yes, I’m talking to you!), what more perfect way is there to celebrate spring?
Hatha yoga – traditional and basic yoga poses and breathing – is perfect for beginners, but these classes are great for all skill levels. And the best part is…the classes are FREE! (Parking, however, is $3 – paid in the machine in the lot.) The classes will be at the Chattahoochee River Park in the Powers Island area (on the Fulton County [east] side of the river on N. Interstate Parkway). Look for Kristen – a brunette with a yoga mat in a hot pink jacket!
