On Wednesday, I wrote about the Alliance Theatre’s “Lookingglass Alice” – a new interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass (a.k.a. and perhaps better known from Disney’s animated interpretation, Alice in Wonderland). It truly was an original and unique production, so I think it warrants a second write-up, especially with the addition of a block party – what a fun day this will be! Here’s an ever better reason to head on out to the Alliance Theatre’s fantabulous new production – enjoy the beautiful weekend and gorgeous spring weather with a block party AND a matinée! It may seem weird that I’m writing about
The party begins at 1 PM at the 15th Street Art District Plaza (at the corner of 15th Street and Peachtree Street) and preceeds the 2:30 PM matinée of “Lookingglass Alice” at the Alliance Theatre. For just $25 (what a bargain!), you can enjoy food provided by The Varsity, jugglers, and other circus performers – a great warm-up to seeing “Lookingglass Alice,” which is full of high-flying, Cirque du Soleil-style acrobatics.
For the $25, click here and use the promo code MIDTOWN25. BUT HURRY! Tickets are selling out quickly and only a limited number are still available! Get your tickets online – don’t wait and try to get them at the event!
Do me a favor – if you go, tweet about it and say that @365Atlanta sent you! “It’s the perfect springtime escape for anyone who’s ever been five!”
