#82 – 4th Annual Fiesta Atlanta – Atlanta's Largest Outdoor Hispanic Festival – Sunday, May 2, 2010

It’s another weekend of festivals here in Atlanta – one reason why so many love living here! This weekend, the weather has (mostly) cooperated, except for a few scattered raindrops yesterday. And it looks to be another sunny day today – perfect to celebrate Fiesta Atlanta, Atlanta’s premiere and largest outdoor Hispanic festival!

The 4th Annual Fiesta Atlanta is taking place today – Sunday, May 2, 2010 – from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Centennial Olympic Park. Just in time for Cinco de Mayo (coming this Wednesday), the festival celebrates Latino culture with nonstop music on two stages, arts and crafts on display and for sale, and lots of food to sample from a number of Latin American countries. Admission is FREE, which is another great reason to get out and enjoy the festival and our beautiful spring weather!

It’s nice to see Hispanic events included in non-Hispanic media. This is a good event but you guys should cover Festival Peachtree Latino @ Underground. I have been going to that one for over 7 years and seems to me that it is way bigger than this one, it’s also free and outdoors so saying this is the largest seems like an overstatement. I have been to Fiesta Atlanta twice and it is just ok.

Hi, Marilyn – thanks for reading and commenting! Just to clarify, the “largest” information is not my opinion, but comes from the event’s attendance and sponsorship numbers. I appreciate your input and opinion – I will gladly look into the Festival Peachtree Latino at Underground and consider writing about it, too, when the time comes.

Thanks again for your feedback and I hope you will subscribe to the blog or follow us on Twitter. Have a great night!
