#92 – Georgia Kite Festival – Centennial Olympic Park – Saturday, May 15, 2010


Ever been told to go fly a kite? This Saturday in Centennial Olympic Park, that’s what everyone will be doing at the Georgia Kite Festival! This is the first annual Georgia Kite Festival and was designed “to provide unique experiences that promote learning, healthy outdoor activities, family and new adventures.” From 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, this FREE, family-friendly festival will celebrate this simple pleasure from days gone by while providing lots of fun activities for all ages.

Head to Centennial Plympic Park to join in┬áthe interactive activities, including live musical and theatrical performances, games and attractions for children, a ‘kite konstruction’ zone where families can work together to build custom kites, and health screenings for children and adults.

The event is FREE but you will need a ticket for entry – tickets can be printed for admission on the website.
