#197 – World’s Biggest Water Balloon Fight Benefiting Camp Twin Lakes Today – Saturday, August 21, 2010
What could be more fun on a hot day in August that a huge water balloon fight? How about the World’s Biggest Water Balloon Fight?
Today – Saturday, August 21, 2010 – starting at 1:30, you can join in on the World’s Biggest Water Balloon Fight to benefit Camp Twin Lakes, a Georgia-based organization that provides programs via a network of camps for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and other challenges. Join in the splish-splashy fun and help in the attempt to beat the current Guinness World Record of 2,849 people.
This family-friendly event will have water slides, games, live music, and of course, water balloon fights – two separate ones to accommodate both kids and adults. All you need to get in is a $5 donation to Camp Twin Lakes. There will be an 80s/90s music bank and a Weezer Tribute Band to start off the fun, and then the Kids’ Water Balloon Fight at 4:45 PM and the Adult Water Balloon Fight at 5:00 PM. It all makes for a fun-tastic afternoon!
And if you plan your day well, you can feed your post-water balloon fight appetite with a stop at the 10th Annual Decatur BBQ, Blues + Bluegrass Festival afterward! It’s a full day of family fun!
