#213 – Arts on the Creek This Weekend in Johns Creek – Movies in the Park Saturday Night!


This weekend, just 20 minutes north of Atlanta you can enjoy Arts on the Creek, the only arts festival in Johns Creek.

Arts on the Creek includes an Artists’ Market with art of all kinds for sale and for viewing, as well as a selection of  Juried Exhibition Artists, whose work will remain on display in the Johns Creek Arts Center until October 7, 2010. There will also be live performances throughout both days on the main stage, including theatre performances, dance, and a variety of bands and other musicians showcasing their talents. Food and beverages will also be for sale through the festival grounds, so come hungry and ready to spend the entire day!

The festival hours are Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. For an aerial map of the festival grounds, please click here.

Also, don’t miss the final screening of Movies in the Park at Newtown Park tonight – Saturday, September 4, 2010. Spend the day at Arts on the Creek, and then pack your picnic blanket and basket (no alcohol permitted) and head to Newtown Park for Diary of a Wimpy Kid, presented by the City of Johns Creek, Arts On The Creek and Southern Outdoor Cinema. Children’s activities, including an inflatable moonwalk, giant slide and face painting, wills tart at 7:00 PM and continue until the movie starts at dusk (about 9:00 PM). Food vendors will also be on site.
