So, you’ve read about the Atlanta Arts Festival and the East Atlanta Strut and you still don’t have enough to do on this jam-packed Saturday? Well, hold on to your seats and buckle your seatbelt (because you’ll be doing a lot of driving around from festival to festival today)!
Today is the Taste of Smyrna – the “Festival of Delectable” – all day long! Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM, you can sample all the best food that Smyrna has to offer, including Atkins Park, Marlow’s Tavern, Chick-fil-A, Zucca Bar & Pizzeria, Pasta Bella, The Melting Pot, Stevi B’s, Williamson Bros. BBQ and more! The event is FREE, with “tastes” priced from just 50-cents to $4.00.
There will be live music at both the Veterans Memorial and on the Main Stage, culminating in the headliner, Peachtree Station, playing at 7:00 PM, playing favorites and covers for the evening. Other entertainment includes Wildlife Wendy and her Tropical Bird Show, who is appearing throughout the day at 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. There’s also a Kids’ Zone (which I kind of wish I was small enough to play on, it sounds that cool) with interactive inflatables featuring the 33′ Shark Slide, Euro Bungee Quad Jump, 24′ Rockwall, and a 120′ Roller Coaster Obstacle Course.
Get on over to Smyrna’s Village Green today to taste the best of what Smyrna has to offer and just have a super-fun Saturday! And eat it – it sounds like you’re going to have a busy day!
