#241 – 31st Annual Sunday in the Park at Oakland Cemetery Today – Sunday, October 3, 2010

Spend this gorgeous fall day at Historic Oakland Cemetery to celebrate the 31st Annual Sunday in the Park.

Sunday in the Park is a Victorian street festival and is a signature event for Oakland Cemetery. It’s a family-friendly festival with a full day of entertainment, food and fun. There will be food from local restaurants, such as Six Feet Under, The Varsity, Doc Chey’s, Tin Lizzy’s, and more. There will be a Victorian costume contest, which is always just as fun for onlookers as it is for participants. Carriage tours and free walking tours allow guests to get a closer look at the  beautiful grounds. Dig down deep with a cemetery scavenger hunt and enjoy live music and dancing. The children’s area will feature art and crafts, old-fashioned games and the Zoo Atlanta ZooMobile. oakland-cemetery-atlanta-ga-angels-cross-with-flowers-vines There’s also the traditional Oakland Teddy Bear Tea for kids of all ages.
