#266 – Eat at Souper Jenny This Week and Help Souper Jenny & 365Atlanta Support Our Troops! October 25-30, 2010
What goes better with a crisp fall day that a warm bowl of homemade soup? And who makes better soup in Atlanta than Souper Jenny?
The Souper Jenny $12 lunch is a fab deal – you choose two, from their fresh and delicious daily soups, salads, and sandwiches – and you also get a drink, a fresh roll and a cookie. All for just $12.00! (But plan to eat an early lunch – or a late one – as the line can get pretty long at peak lunch hours.) You can view Souper Jenny’s daily menu (different every day!) by visiting the website.
Our annual “Trick or Treat for the Troops” event collects donations for care packages for men and women of the U. S. Armed Forces who are deployed and away from their families during the holiday season. We collect toiletries, snacks, playing cards and games, and more – and this is our last week of collection, so please come out and help us make the holidays happy for our brave troops who are deployed and away from their homes and families. Here’s a list of what we’re collecting, or you can visit www.TrickorTreatfortheTroops.com. (Dollar stores and bulk stores, like Costco and Sam’s Club are the best value for most of these items!) Please drop off items all this week at Souper Jenny – Monday, October 25 through Saturday, October 30!
Souper Jenny is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Tuesday is Taco night and Thursday is Grilled Cheese Night. The last hour is always take-out only (and Souper Jenny is closed on Sundays). Also, keep in mind Souper Jenny is cash only!
We are so thrilled that Souper Jenny is one of our 2010 sponsors for our 5th Annual “Trick or Treat for the Troops” – please thank the crew there and please give them your business – this week and every week!
