#267 – Take a Spooky Halloween Ride with City Segway Tours Atlanta’s Legends and Lore Tour – A Whole New Kind of Ghost Tour
Want a new kind of ghost tour this weekend for Halloween? Explore Atlanta’s ghostliness with City Segway Tours and their Halloween Legends and Lore Tour!
The Legends and Lore tour from City Segway Tours is back 7 nights a week at 6:00 pm from September 1 through November 30, 2010, and explores our great city and spins stories that will spook you, long beyond the end of the tour. It’s a little bit of history and a whole lot of haunting to get you in the mood for Halloween and welcome fall!
Get a glimpse of Atlanta’s darker side, as your guide shares local anecdotes and legends. Take a spine tingling trip through downtown Atlanta from Centennial Olympic Park to the Capitol, through Georgia State University to hear about campus hauntings and hear tales of murderous villains throughout the years.
If you’ve never been on a segway before – never fear! The first 30 minutes or so is a segway tutorial, during which you will learn to ride forward and backward and, most importantly, to stop! With the expert help of your tour guide, you will be completely comfortable on your new wheels before the tour begins.
Tours are $60.00 a person, and I suggest you wear comfortable shoes and warm layers – you’ll be outside at dusk and after dark for about 90 minutes. The website states that “virtually anyone 12 and older that weighs 100 pounds or more” can participate – on our tour there were all ages, from about 14 up to 68! It’s definitely fun for almost-all-ages! Pregnant women, however, will not be permitted to attend the tour.
It’s a great date night, girls’ night out or fun for the whole family! And it’s a tour like no other you will experience in Atlanta!
