#270 – Last Weekend for 8th Annual Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park – Friday through Sunday, October 30-31, 2010
There’s always something going on at Stone Mountain Park, and this weekend is the final weekend of the 8th Annual Pumpkin Festival!
It’s a family-friendly weekend, jam-packed with activities and fun! From the Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt with its tasty treats to the Family Scavenger Hunt where you can win a four-pack of tickets to Snow Mountain; the Great Pumpkin Puppet Parade, storytelling, and the Pumpkin Party Patch! There’s even a Children’s Costume Contest, every day immediately following the parade – the contest is at 3:00 PM on Friday and 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and for the truly brave, there’s an ooey-gooey Pie-Eating Contest for children and adults (visit the website for complete details and activities schedule). It’s a fun-filled weekend with something for everyone!
But you need to hurry! The final weekend for the Pumpkin Festival is here! The Festival is open Friday, October 29 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 30 from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM (with the final Lasershow of the year following at 8:00 PM), and Sunday, October 31 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Entrance to the Pumpkin Festival is included in the Adventure Pass; $27 (plus tax) for adults and $21 (plus tax) for children ages 3-11. Vehicle Entry to Stone Mountain Park is $10 for a one day parking permit or $35 for an annual permit (if you plan to visit the park 4 or more times in the next 12 months, the annual permit is a great deal!). Discount passes are available at Kroger. For more information about ticket prices and passes, please visit the Stone Mountain Park website.
And while you’re at Stone Mountain Park, you can explore the other fun things to do – climb the mountain, hike the trails, and just enjoy this glorious fall weather we’ve finally gotten here in Atlanta!
