Thinking of chowing down on some chili at Cabbagetown’s Chomp & Stomp this weekend? You may want to work off some of those calories at the 5th Annual Romp & Stomp 5K beforehand – on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 8:00 AM. Here’s how:
The fee to enter is just $25.00 if you register early online (it goes up to $40.00 day-of, space permitting), and benefits the Cabbagetown Initiative CDC, a nonprofit responsible for the upkeep of Cabbagetown’s two parks and community center – it’s a fun run for a great cause! You also get a long-sleeved tee (no cheap-o short-sleeved t-shirts here, folks!) and FREE chili at the Chomp & Stomp Festival later in the day – that’s a $5.00 value, plus the benefit of not having to wait in line for your chili! What a deal!
The Romp & Stomp course is a “fast, flat course” which is perfect for beginners – and walkers are also welcome! So what are you waiting for? Early online registration ends tomorrow – Friday, November 5, 2010 – at 5 PM and only 1,000 participants will be accepted, so get your registration in now!
There’s a ton more information – parking, awards, etc. – on the Romp & Stomp website, so click here to access all that stuff. Once you’ve decided to bite the bullet and just register already, click here!
And don’t forget – the whole reason you’re doing this is so you can eat your heart out at the Chomp & Stomp Chili Cook-Off & Festival later in the day – so click here for more info about that – hope to see you there!
