#278 – Chomp & Stomp in Cabbagetown this Weekend – Chili Cook-off and Festival – Saturday, November 6, 2010

If you’re a little bit country, then you’ll want to stop by Cabbagetown’s Chomp & Stomp this weekend!

If you’re unfamiliar with Cabbagetown, it’s a close-knit community inside the Atlanta city limits. Chomp & Stomp – Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM – is like a neighborhood picnic of sorts, with music, food and fun. It’s a family-friendly way to get out and say, “Hi, neighbor!”…even if ¬†you’re not, technically, neighbors!

There’s a chili-cook-off – and seriously, what sounds better than chili after the past couple of rainy, cold days we’ve had? Hundreds of chefs come out to cook up their delicious chili-best, but get there early if you want to sample because when it’s gone, it’s gone! There’s also live bluegrass music, keeping the heritage of Cabbagetown alive, as the website says, the “old-time music that was popular when residents and mill workers like Fiddlin’ John Carson” lived there.

If you really want to dive in and start the day off right (burn off all that chili before you even eat it), you may want to check out the Romp & Stomp 5K – click here for more information!

Enjoy the day, neighbor!
