#284 – Visit the Dunwoody Green Market Wednesday Mornings for Holiday Shopping, Fresh Fall/Winter Produce & More! Wednesday, November 10, 2010
Already missing some of the Saturday morning Farmer’s Markets that have closed for the season? Don’t despair – there are a handful of markets still open, including the Dunwoody Green Market, which is open for two more Wednesdays (last market, Wednesday, November 17, 2010).
Open every Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM, the Dunwoody Green Market is enticing shoppers to come out the next two weeks – Wednesday, November 10, 2010 and Wednesday, November 17, 2010 – with complimentary breakfast and coffee and live music.
It’s a convenient place to get your fresh fall and winter produce. Annie’s Okra Barn has butternut winter squash, sweet potatoes, turnips with greens, Long Island Cheese winter squash, Cushaw winter squash, and more. Heirloom Gardens has Swiss chard, spinach, collards, black radishes and more; they even have tomatoes! Heritage Farm‘s selection includes grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, and winter vegetables.
There’s also an artists’ market with holiday shopping and gifts, including Indigo Bath & Body, who will have gift soaps and lip balms, and Jeff The Wood Guy, with his hand-turned wooden bowls and trays .
And of course, don’t miss M.E. Amore’s home pasta subscriptions, Pine Street Market’s handmade artisan meats, such as salami, bacon, sausage, pancetta and coppa, and the Dunwoody Green Market’s CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program – sign up for your share of produce, three levels available. Check out the Dunwoody Green Market tomorrow morning – and every Wednesday morning through December!
