#295 – Forecast: Snow in Atlantic Station – Tomorrow Night and Every Night – Saturday, November 20 through December 31, 2010

snow-and-i-by-tsechuen26-on-flickr Being a Florida girl, having been born and raised there and only witnessing one (brief) snowfall before my 21st birthday, the prospect of snow is still exciting to me, even now.

Starting tomorrow night – Saturday, November 20, 2010 – during The Lighting of Atlantic Station, snow will fall (“realistically,” the website advertises!) as over 250,000 lights illuminate the eight-block district and Santa Claus arrives for his first Atlanta appearance of the season.

But it’s not just tomorrow night – it’s every night until December 31, 2010. Snow will fall every evening and create a gorgeous winter wonderland for shoppers, diners and visitors to Atlantic Station. What a perfect backdrop for your holiday shopping, a romantic date night, or a special occasion!

Unlike real snowfall, these will be predictable and on schedule, so be sure to schedule your visits accordingly: Monday through Thursday at 7:30 PM, Friday and Saturday nights, hourly from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and Sunday at 6:00 PM. (Please note: snowfall is weather-permitting and will be cancelled in the event of rain, so ironically, you should pay attention to the weather report to see if it will snow for your visit!)

Experience the magic of a beautiful snowfall (without the slippery roads and school closures!– just in time to catch the holiday spirit!
