Tomorrow – Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 9:00 AM until noon – check out the 2nd Annual Atlanta Local Food Initiative Fruit Tree Sale. Whether you have a huge backyard, a small patch of grass, or even just a sunny balcony or rooftop, you can grow your own delicious fruits and berries – it’s easier than you think! Last year, more than 2,000 fruit trees, vines and berries were planted as a result of ALFI fruit tree sale.

Wondering how successful the sale will be? Last year, the sale SOLD OUT in just 30 minutes – so if you’re considering picking up some fruit trees tomorrow, go early. Get your trees and then head to brunch! Also notable: sales are cash/check only – so be prepared! More detailed information can be found on the ALFI website by clicking here.

All proceeds benefit the Atlanta Local Food Initiative (ALFI). Since 2005, ALFI has worked to promote local food production and growth and to build healthy, local food communities. What better way to promote local food than to help you grow your own?
