#363 – Orchid Daze Liquid Landscapes Now on View at Atlanta Botanical Garden, Through April 10, 2011
Spring is just about to burst into bloom and there’s no better place in Atlanta to celebrate the coming of spring than the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
The annual Orchid Daze exhibit at the Garden is on view now with the serene and soothing Orchid Daze Liquid Landscapes. Featuring thousands of orchids in full bloom complemented by unique water features, the display is a unique and innovative way to explore these exotic beauties. From walls of water to trickling streams surrounding potted orchids suspended throughout the display, it’s an impressive follow-up to last year’s Orchid Daze: Towers of Flowers. Orchid Daze is also accompanied by Orchid Market Weekends, one weekend each month that features live orchids for sale from local growers, tips and advice, orchid supplies and orchid art available for purchase; the remaining market weekends are March 5 – 6 and April 2 – 3, 2011, from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places in Atlanta – it’s a calm, lush green oasis in the middle of the city, the perfect place to go to wander, relax and feel rejuvenated, without leaving the hustle and bustle or fighting traffic. The gorgeous, tropical Orchid Daze exhibit is one of of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring every year, and this year promises to be no different!
Orchid Daze will be open through April 10, 2011 and is included in regular Garden admission. Adult tickets are $18.95, children ages 3-12 are $12.95, and Garden Members are free. You can purchase your tickets on-site or online by clicking here.
