SCAD Atlanta Presents deFINE ART – Special Exhibit and Lecture, February 22-24, 2011

Art lovers in Atlanta can take advantage of Atlanta’s SCAD campus and take part in their annual deFINE ART, a free and open to the public event with special exhibits, lectures and events.

Taking place over a three-day period in Atlanta, from February 22 to 24, 2011 (it’s a five-day-long program at Savannah’s campus, ending on February 26), attendees can attend a variety of lectures and artist talks, as well as free exhibits, such as JuYeon Kim’s “The In-Between”, “Six in One: SCAD in New American Paintings”, Andreas Kocks’ “Momentary Suspension”. The highlight of the week is the keynote speaker on Thursday, February 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM: performance and visual art pioneer and the 2011 deFINE ART honoree Marina Abramović. Her lecture looks at performance art from the 1970s to the present and promises to be a fascinating addition to this year’s event.
