Hula Hoop for Health and Hope! Join the Hoop Jam for Hope to Benefit Atlanta Women’s Foundation – Friday, March 11, 2011
Tomorrow – Friday, March 11, 2011 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM – take your lunch break to head down to Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta to take part in Hoop Jam for Hope, a fun, fast, informative hula hooping fundraiser to benefit the Atlanta Women’s Foundation.
Hula Hoop pro Rebecca DeShon of Atlanta’s Hoop Essence will be on hand to instruct and educate – did you know you can burn up to 600 calories by hooping with her tomorrow? What a fun, healthy, active way to support the Atlanta Women’s Foundation and help them reach their goals of breaking the cycle of generational poverty for women and girls in Atlanta.
Late last year, I had the opportunity to attend the AWF Annual Luncheon and learn more about this incredible organization. The dedication of the leadership and membership of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation is truly inspiring. If you ever have an opportunity to attend an AWF event – like this one! – I highly recommend it. You will walk away feeling inspired to help and do more in your community.
A donation of $20.00 is requested for your participation in this fundraiser – you can donate online and register by clicking here. If you cannot attend but would still like to make a donation, please feel free to do so. You can arrive any time between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, but make sure you leave yourself enough time to really enjoy the beautiful day and the super-fun hooping!
Please note, a message regarding donations from the Atlanta Women’s Foundation: Contributions to The Atlanta Women’s Foundation are tax-deductible..
