The first time I dined at Terrace on Peachtree, I was nothing short of impressed, not just by the food and the dining experience, but also by the chef’s impressive commitment to and passion for using local and sustainable products in his kitchen.
If you’re looking for something a little quieter to do tonight for St. Patrick’s Day, perhaps something that doesn’t involved masses of people and green beer, then I recommend Terrace’s three-course prix fixe menu, specially created for St. Patrick’s Day by Terrace’s Executive Chef, Chef Thomas McKeown. McKeown came to Atlanta from Limerick, Ireland – who more appropriate to prepare your St. Paddy’s Day feast?
Here’s the lowdown:
- First course: Very Green Salad with shaved kale, avocado, pickled honeydew, pistachios, and spring Vidalia-buttermilk dressing
- Second course: Smoked Trout Croquettes with Brussels sprout slaw, dill crème fraiche, and crispy capers
- Third course: Grassfed Corned Beef Brisket with sautéed cabbage and apples, potato pancakes, Guinness demi-glace
According to the hostess when I called Terrace on Peachtree yesterday, the 3-course prix fixe menu is $45 per person, not including dessert or beverages. Reservations are still available, but make sure you do call ahead to reserve to be sure you get a table. Can’t make it tonight? Terrace’s seasonal menu is always delicious and constantly changing to include the freshest local ingredients. To view Terrace’s current menus, you can visit their website – since the menu changes with the season, they’re constantly updated.
