Celebrate Easter as the sun rises at the top Stone Mountain tomorrow at the 67th Annual Easter Sunrise Service – with glorious views and a majestic sunrise, it’s a wonderful way to enjoy your Easter morning service!

Park gates will open at 4:00 AM and there will be two simultaneous services, beginning at 7:00 AM – one at the top of Stone Mountain and another in Memorial Hall Terrace. The nondenominational services will be presented by the Stone Mountain Ministerial Association.

The services are FREE. Parking is $10.00 per vehicle (church vans and busses can enter and park for free), or you can purchase an annual pass onsite for $35.00 (a great value, if you plan to visit 4 or more times in the year!) If you plan to attend the service at the top of the mountain, round-trip Skyride fees are $9.00 for adults, $7.00 for children 3-11, and $5.50 one-way – if you plan to hike up and enjoy even more beautiful views and scenery, there is no charge!

I would think maybe for one day the Park might consider opening the gates for free. Let the people who want to attend park for free, enter park free, and ride sky lift free. I don’t know much about the park, they may have free pass days,to say thank you to the public. It would be a nice way for the Park, and owners of the park to say thank you.One last comment has the Park considered some type of laser show before service begins.Something to do with the occation, or the start of spring. This would allow the park to show off how impressive the laser show is.
