Last week, I told you about the Summer Beer Dinner hosted by Eleven at the Loews Atlanta Hotel and featuring Samuel Adams beers. The dinner was, in a word, scrumptious. For those of you who emailed and tweeted me that you were sorry to miss out on this special evening, I urge you to take advantage of the next one that Eleven and Loews Atlanta offer – it was a fun, informative, and delicious evening!
In addition to the mouthwatering menu and ice-cold beer (which, on a hot, humid summer night was much appreciated by all — even the self-professed non-beer-lovers at the table), I also had the pleasure of some great company: Broderick from Savory Exposure, Ale Sharpton, Andrea Janise, Gregg from Tower, and Katharine and Lacey from The Reynolds Group, our gracious hosts for the evening.
If you’ve never tried Eleven at the Loews Atlanta Hotel, don’t think of it as just another hotel restaurant – it’s much more than that! Their website described the cuisine as “classic cuisine combines with modern, Southern style,” but the European influence of Executive Chef Olivier Gaupin is also there. Chef Olivier’s team also includes chef de cuisine Derek Rosen, whose Southern roots and experience as a pit master in his home state of Kentucky are evident, and pastry chef John Bell, whose beautiful and delicious dessert creations enhance the menu and allow the Loews to make all desserts from scratch, in-house. Combine the amazing food with the warm, modern atmosphere and stunning artwork from local artists for an incredible evening – whether it’s a date night or a night out with friends.
And now, I’m going to let the photos tell the story. They will make your mouth water…don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Full disclosure: Eleven and Loews Atlanta Hotel graciously hosted me for this event and my bill was comped by the house. However, all opinions expressed here are my own.
