Georgian Terrace Hotel Hosts WABE-FM’s “Between the Lines” Tonight – Author Joseph Gatins Discusses His New Book – Thursday, September 14, 2011
A couple of months ago, I had lunch at the Georgian Terrace (my favorite hotel here in Atlanta and where I stayed for my wedding three years ago) for a media event celebrating the hotel’s 100th Anniversary. It’s such a beautiful landmark – located just across the street from The Fabulous Fox Theatre – how can you not love the history and beauty of this Atlanta landmark?
One of the speakers at the media luncheon was Joseph Gatins, the descendant of the founders of the Georgian Terrace and the author of a new book (its publication coinciding with the 100th Anniversary of the hotel – coincidence? I think not.) about the history of this gorgeous hotel. The book is called We Were Dancing on a Volcano: Bloodlines and Fault Lines of a Star-Crossed Atlanta Family 1849-1989. Listening to his stories during his brief talk was fascinating – and reading his book even more so (if you’d like to purchase a copy click on the link above).
Tonight is your chance to hear him for yourself. Tonight – Thursday, September 14, 2011 at 7:00 PM – Atlanta’s WABE-FM (90.1) is taping their popular “Between the Lines” author interview program at the Georgian Terrace. Hosted by Valerie Jackson and featuring Joseph Gatins, the broadcast is just one small piece of the puzzle that is the Georgian Terrace’s celebration of their 100th Anniversary.
This event is FREE, but space is limited (the ballroom will hold 250 attendees so be sure to get your spot now!). To make your reservation, email Chelsea Deedy at firstname.lastname@example.org and claim your spot.
