It’s a rare opportunity that we get to do something good for someone we don’t know. Here’s your chance, Atlanta – and you can do it tonight!

Today – Tuesday, February 21, 2012 – from 4:00 PM until midnight, Meehan’s Public House in Vinings is having a fundraiser for the Carmo Family. On Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, 15-year-old, Lidiane Carmo lost her mother, father, sister and uncle in a car crash on I-75 near Gainesville, Fl. She and her family were traveling back from a church conference in Orlando, FL. to their home in Cobb County.

This fundraiser is for everyone, including teachers, faculty, parents of students and the entire Sprayberry community, as wel as the general public, to come together and to raise additional funds to help with burial services and Lidiane’s continued medical costs.  Meehan’s Public House is showing their support for the Carmo Family by donating 100 percent of the following items sold, directly to the family:  Keg of Sweeter 420, Bacardi Oak and Cokes, Smoked Wings, and Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Jalapeno Slaw. They will also be having a raffle to raise funds: $10 per ticket and $25 for three tickets. Some of the items that have been donated for the raffle include a Cut & Styling from Hair Stylist Jul Craven Studios, select bottles of liquor and/or beer,  signed football jerseys, some Coca-cola memorabilia and much more. Above is a poster for the event with a photo of the Carmo family.
