Seasons 52 Unveils Their New Summer Menu With Light Tastes Perfect For Hot Days

The Seasons 52 Summer Menu Preview included a webcast with Executive Chef Clifford Pleau and Master Sommelier George Miliotes, discussing the new summer selections and mugging for the camera!

Last week, I had the opportunity to try out the new summer menu at Seasons 52, which is now available at the Buckhead and Perimeter locations. The Seasons 52 concept offers dishes made with seasonally-fresh ingredients, a rotating menu that always offers something new, and the reassurance that every dish you order has less than 475 calories, guaranteed.

A partnership with Atlantico Rum is the foundation for new summer cocktails. In a restaurant that focuses largely on wine and having a diverse selection of hard-to-find wines, Seasons 52 has brought two summer cocktails that make you long for a beach chair and a cabana boy. The Strawberry Lemon Euphoria pairs Atlantico dark rum with fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and vodka. The lighter of the two, the Watermelon Refresher is made with Atlantico Platino light rum, fresh muddled watermelon and fresh lime juice. Light, sweet, fruity…a little bit of summertime in your mouth.

Start your meal with a collection of new starters, including Organic Tomatoes with Warm Crusted Mozzarella (organic tomatoes and warm-crusted Mozzarella, micro greens, basil, pesto vinaigrette) and Chilled Lobster & Shrimp Spring Rolls (served with a trio of dipping sauces – cool salsa verde, aromatic lemongrass, sweet-hot red chili, pictured below).

Entrées include Wild Alaska Copper River Salmon (corn risotto, fresh asparagus, roasted pepper, dill sauce, pictured below) and Summer Vegetarian Tasting (“grains of life,” soft taco, chili relleno, vegetables, cedar roasted tofu, mango chutney, pictured below).

The feature of the summer menu is an 11-ounce Piedmontese All-Natural Bone-In Strip Steak, a lean, tender cut of beef becoming popular in sophisticated eateries across the country, its popularity due in pat to the fact that it’s leaner than other beef, almost as lean as bison. Named after a breed of cattle originally found in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, Seasons 52’s Piedmontese beef is range-raised in Nebraska and grass-fed with an all-natural diet.  Seasons 52 is serving the Piedmontese Bone-In Strip Steak “steakhouse style” with a red wine reduction and cremini mushrooms and accompanied by grilled jumbo asparagus and fingerling potatoes.

The self-proclaimed pioneer of the mini-indulgence – “indulgence in a smaller portion size” – the Seasons 52 summer menu would not be complete without dessert. Though many of the perennial favorites remain on the menu (fear not: key lime pie and rocky road are still there!), two new seasonal choices may become fast favorites: the Blueberry Cheesecake Mini-Indulgence is cheesecake with fresh blueberries, raspberry sauce and graham cracker crumb – it’s light, summery and truly a perfect ending to a delicious meal! The Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cannoli combines the sweetness of raspberries with the crunch of a light cannoli.

Make plans to visit Seasons 52 before the summer menu – like the summer – disappears once again. I can’t wait to see what they bring us for autumn!
